Description goes here
We currently have approximately 30 students in our preschool program and 65 children and youths in our spiritual programs. About 95% of our students don't have access to public education because they do not have birth papers indicating they were born in the Dominican Republic.
Our day program runs from Monday to Thursday from 7:50am to 12:15pm. Our program is designed to provide each child with well needed opportunities to study the Word of God, receive basic academic training and knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are applicable to their lives and that will lift them out of poverty.
Recently, we have introduced various classes thanks to talented volunteers from the community who believe in our mission and vision, and who want to share their gifts to empower the students at Eden Christian Centre. We have introduced music, art, and computer classes to our program.
We focus on building the student's tolerance of diveristy and open opportunities for future career choices by giving them a voice that will be beneficial to their community and the nation of the Dominican Republic.
The children and staff of our preschool program receive breakfast each morning during our program. Due to the severe poverty most families in our community only receive one solid meal a day. Our Community Feeding Program provided hot lunch for over 45 individuals twice a week.
Our staff are all volunteers from the community who receive a monthly love offering from donations that we receive from friends, family and supporters.
Our passion, love for the children and obedience to God, in addition to your financial support and prayers is what together drives the daily operations of Eden Christinan Centre.
